Welcome to 1 in eight

Breast Cancer Awareness + Information for the Modern Woman

1 in eight is a place for the women of Australia to flip cancer the bird. Let’s be part of the conversation that empowers and inspires women during the scariest time of their life, and redefine what it means to live with a cancer diagnosis.

When I was diagnosed, I was desperate to find like-minded Aussies whose tatas had also betrayed them, but instead, I found a plethora of un-relatable support communities and materials, often aimed at the older generation. So, I turned to the internet to discover inspiring young women from all over the world making cancer their bitch, and I wanted in.

Follow my story under the hashtag #1ineight on my blog, facebook + instagram page. I will provide a first hand, genuine and honest account of life during and after a breast cancer diagnosis, with all of the information, tips + tricks I wish I had been told along the way.

We’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: early detection is key. So together, let’s keep the convo going, eradicate the taboo and encourage one another to know your body and know your risks. Let’s save some god damn lives, people!
